Willian not in favour of Chelsea’s decision to put Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan

Football News: Willian has hit out at Chelsea’s decision to allow Ruben Loftus-Cheek to join Crystal Palace on loan and says he needs to come back.

Loftus-Cheek was given a clear indication by Blues boss Antonio Conte that he does not figure in his plans when he was allowed to join the Eagles in the summer, and Willian believes it was a mistake.

The youngster has impressed in a struggling Palace side. So much so he has been called into the England squad and impressed in the friendly clashes against Germany and Brazil, before picking up a knock in the latter game.

Loftus-Cheek now has a chance of making the World Cup squad, and Willian says he is needed back at Stamford Bridge.

“He’s a very good player. He is strong, he has quality. He has a great future,” Willian said. “I don’t know why he is at Crystal Palace now. I don’t know why. He has to come back.”

Willian’s own future at Stamford Bridge is already shrouded in doubt, following reports he could be sold, and his latest comments questioning Conte may not do him any favours.
