Jost Capito to part ways with McLaren

Jost Capito f1 news

F1 Update – McLaren’s shake-up of senior management is set to continue with freshly appointed Jost Capito ready to split from his role as chief executive of the racing division.

A prized acquisition from heading up Volkswagen’s World Rally Championship program which culminated with four driver’s and manufacturer’s titles, Capito eased into the position in September.

However it has been widely reported in British media that Capito is set to follow Ron Dennis, the man who recruited him for the job, and leave McLaren.

Dennis, who remains a 25 percent shareholder of the McLaren Group, was forced to take leave until his contract with McLaren as chairman expires in January.

It has been reported that Capito is no longer in an active daily role within McLaren.

The Capito situation continues a series of major shake-ups within McLaren.

Just last month dynamic marketing entrepreneur Zak Brown took up the position as the McLaren Technology Group’s executive director.
