Football News: Could Monday be the day that Neymar completes his move from FC Barcelona to PSG?

After almost two weeks of speculation that the Brazilian superstar is set to swap the Camp Nou for the Parc de Princes, reports out of the Middle East suggest that the deal is approaching it’s conclusion.

Qatar’s Al-Watan newspaper have reported on Monday morning that Neymar expected in Doha in coming hours to meet PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

During his stay in Qatar, Neymar is tipped to undergo his PSG medical as well as signing his contract with the Ligue 1 moneybags.

Should Neymar complete his PSG move, Barcelona are set to net 222 million euros.

But how can PSG stump up that money while avoiding problems with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules?

Al-Watan report that Neymar may become a 2022 World Cup ambassador, which is one of the potential routes around FFP.

The theory is that Qatar could pay Neymar 222 million euros to become an ambassador, that fee would release the 25-year-old from his Barca contract, and Neymar would then agree to join PSG on a free transfer.

For the record, Barca have refuse to confirm that Neymar is headed to Doha as the Spanish giants refuse to give off any indication the striker is leaving the club.
