Arsene Wenger claims his team is ready to face Man U

Football News – ARSENE WENGER is racing against rival Jose Mourinho to get his side focussed for Saturday’s clash with Manchester United.

The Gunners boss welcomed back the bulk of his international stars to training today.

And they’ve now got less than 48 hours to get themselves ready to the weekend visit to Old Trafford.

Wenger says after a brief catch-up it’s a case of getting down to work.

He reckons it will be the same for Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, and says the side which focusses on the Premier League and forgets their international exploits the quickest will have the advantage.

“We get them together to share some conversations: What happened to you, did you play well?,” the Arsenal boss told Sky Sports.

“And then they start to talk about what we have in front of us on Saturday.

“We get them, we tell them what and we want to achieve now.”

Despite the short preparation time for the crunch clash, Wenger isn’t throwing his toys out of the pram.

“You can’t complain about it as Manchester United have the same problem.

“But you can say the team that manages to re-focus [from international duty to domestic football] the quickest has an advantage.”
