Football News – Arsene Wenger believes that Granit Xhaka is adapting well to life at Arsenal following his transfer to the club back in the summer window.

The Swiss midfielder has earned praise for his performances for the Gunners following his move to the north London side.

Xhaka made his sixth Premier League start of the season on Sunday as he helped Arsenal secure a 3-1 win over Bournemouth to keep pace with their title rivals at the top of the table.

The midfielder is currently getting to grips with English football and has scored three goals in all competitions for Arsenal so far this term.

And Wenger was pleased with the 23-year-old’s contribution in Arsenal’s victory over Bournemouth in the top flight on Sunday.

Speaking at his post-match news conference, Wenger said of Xhaka: He became better as the game went on and in the second half I think he did very well.”

He continued: We are in November, he arrived in July. It’s normal adaptation and he gets better used to the pace of the game, to the positioning on the pitch and I think his passing through the lines has played a big part today.”

Sunday’s win over Bournemouth left Arsenal in fourth place in the Premier League and three points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea after 13 games of the new season.
