Kevin-Prince Boateng praises Klopp for being “The Best Coach”

Kevin-Prince Boateng football news

Soccer Update: Boateng, formerly of FC Schalke, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur, spent half a season on loan from the North London side at Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund in 2009.

Speaking to the Guardian, the Ghanaian hailed the German’s impact during his brief stint under his charge.

“I could see it immediately. He is the best coach in the whole world,” Boateng said.

“He knows when to push you and when to comfort you. He knows when you need a drink, when you need water. He has this … He has everything. Ask the players and they will say ‘he is the best, I would die for him.’”

“He knows exactly what every player needs and gives them time.

“There were players at Dortmund who played five minutes in six months, but they were happy.

“Not necessarily as a player – maybe he does not need you – but as a person. That is why he is successful everywhere.”

Klopp, now in charge at Liverpool, is currently the recipient of some criticism after the club was unable to maintain its outstanding start to the season. A disastrous 2017 has seen the Reds decline from being title contenders to 13 points off the pace in fifth, in a battle to secure a Champions League position.

However, Boateng still believes Klopp and Liverpool are a match made in heaven.

“And Liverpool is perfect; just watching his presentation you see it.

“‘The normal one’ – people there love that. If he had gone to Paris, it would have been best suit, (different message).

“He knows how to grab people.”
