Lionel Messi makes history in an epic 7-0 victory over Celtic

Football News – Lionel Messi has made Champions League history with his hat-trick in Barcelona’s 7-0 victory over Celtic.

The Argentine has scored six hat-tricks in the competition, and is now one clear of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi’s treble took his overall tally to 50 goals in the group stages, one ahead of Ronaldo and level with former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Barcelona forward now needs three more goals to equal Raul’s record of 53 scored in the group stages.

Neymar’s sublime free-kick, plus Luis Suarez’s double and Andres Iniesta’s strike also helped Barca to a comfortable victory over the Scottish champions at Camp Nou.
