Liverpool ramps up efforts to sign Joe Hart

Football Update – According to a report in The Mirror Jurgen Klopp wants to make the England Number One his first choice keeper for net season.

Hart is currently on loan at Torino and although the Italians would like to make the deal permanent it’s highly unlikely that they could finance a transfer.

The keeper would cost Torino £10m but the biggest stumbling block is matching Hart’s salary at the Etihad.

With almost three years left on his £120,000/week deal and little in the way of resale value it’s unlikely that Hart will remain in Turin beyond this season.

An English side would need to pay £20m for Hart but that wouldn’t deter Klopp who is unconvinced by the performances of Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet.

Hart is committed to Torino until the end of the season- after that City will then be faced with the dilemma of whether or not to sell to a title rival.
