Thibaut Courtois has played down the idea he is eyeing a switch to Spain in the near future.

And the Chelsea keeper has claimed he might not make the move until AFTER his career.

Courtois last month reiterated his desire to one day go back to Spain, where he spent three successful seasons with Atletico Madrid.

His comments did not go down well with some Blues fans and Belgium international Courtois said: “I understand the commotion with the Chelsea fans.

“But I just meant that I want to return to Spain one day but it can also be after my career.

“I’m happy to be at Chelsea. For how long, we will see. But now I want to win prizes with this club.”

The 24-year-old has been an ever-present for the Blues in the Premier League so far this season.
