NBA News – One guard in, one guard out. The Sacramento Kings made a roster adjustment Monday morning, waiving veteran Jordan Farmar to make room for the returning Darren Collison.

Sacramento was granted a short reprieve with their roster when Collison was shifted to the league’s suspension list after his fifth missed game, allowing the team to ink Farmar to a deal for depth. With Collison set to return from his eight-game NBA suspension for a domestic violence conviction during the offseason, the Kings roster bumped back to 16, one above the league maximum, which forced the corresponding move.

Farmar, 30, played just two games with the Kings after signing last Wednesday. He averaged 6.0 points and 4.5 assists off coach Dave Joerger’s bench while filling in for Collison.

The 10-year NBA veteran has career averages of 7.7 points and 2.9 assists over 504 career contests.
