NBA Update: Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams is nearing a return to the court, after sitting out a week with concussion.
The Oklahoma City Thunder centre was placed under the NBA-mandated concussion protocol last Tuesday, when he fell to the floor, banging his head.
Due to a light schedule, Adams has only missed two games, both 20-point losses to LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors.
He is still listed as questionable on Thunder injury reports for today’s road encounter with Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, but apparently participated in non-contact portions of yesterday’s training.
Adams is averaging 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 30 minutes a game over 42 outings so far this season.
